We went fossil hunting in Weymouth and found this strange object at the bottom of a new bank slip. 


can anyone help identify what we have found.

Hello, looks like a fossilbearing nodule wich has decayed; these shiny little lumps will be gypsum.
I even think I can see an ammonite whorl coming out of the righthandside of the nodule.
If you tap it carefully, there could be surprises inside...
