I have some chunks of bone bed from Blue Anchor, several of which seem to be full of very interesting things. One has a fairly large ichthyosaur vert in it, and I'm attempting to prep it out.

I'm making very slow progress with my TT pen, and I have chipped one small area, which is annoying. The bone was preserved in worn condition, which I think makes it a bit more tricky. Does anyone have any tips for prepping this material? I presume it's similar to the bone bed from Aust, although how similar I don't know.

I also slightly chipped a piece of shark fine spine which just flew off at the slightest pressure - this stuff seems to be very easily damaged. Although I'm being very careful, I am a complete beginner. Any advice appreciated!
