Nice stuff. The conglomerate looks interesting - is it puddingstone, and if so how'd it get all the way to Suffolk?

you can only drive to within a mile and a half of the beach as no cars allowed,so hardly see anyone,as most people dont seem to like putting on walking boots chris!......thanks andrew, dont know much about the pudding stones but have found quite a lot here.....cheers spider and think it has(i borrowed the works bike again today to go there, people prob think ive stole it! lol)....thanks thomas,i did think it might be mashed urchin but it doesnt appear to be,looks too uniform in shape.

That looks like Hertfordhsire puddingstone.I have a couple of lumps in my garden randomly. It is the equivalent of a well cemented layer of the pebbly base of the Oldhaven Formation. Polishes up lovely!

yeah, it does, but trying to find someone to cut it is another matter! I have a few boulders - about 200mm cubed each - they are heavy as well! Found at Caddington, Herts.

A bike, Thats cheating lol. Although it does explain the frequency your visiting the place if its a bit of a hike on foot. I would imagine you see a lot of walkers in Suffolk. I believe its a lovely place Smile
