I found what appears to be a tooth/tusk shaped stone. It has curvature and some strange texture, including a couple of faint grooves. The base/root area is completely orange stone which I can't understand.

Any ideas would be muchly appreciated.

Suspect it's a tooth shaped chip of orange coloured chert/flint with a chemically altered surface patina. Pretty sure its not a tooth.
