Few bits from yesterday. Bitterly cold in the wind despite the sunshine, would have been a lovely day otherwise.
Here are the best bits that we found.
Decent little fish vertebra from the London Clay.

Two nice examples of the commonest shark species to be found at Walton, Striatolamia macrota. They are both upper anteriors and have the 'L' shaped root which teeth from this tooth position often have.

A really excellent little example of Jaekelotodus robustus, one of the best examples of this species i've ever found at this locality. And check out the curve on the crown in the 3rd pic!

...And i know i said this about the last one of this species i found a few weeks ago, but this is the best Otodus obliquus i've ever found from Walton. This was actually the first tooth i found yesterday, what a beaut!

I also picked up this block of hard clay which if you look on the bottom left hand side, you will see.....

...a Striatolamia macrota tooth! Unfortunately the root is in a bad way, but its still nice to find one preserved in the matrix like this.

I'm getting VERY a little fed up with you finding such poor condition stuff Dave. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not jealous, that's just the way it is. WinkCry
