having found this site recently I wanted to post this for identification. Possibly nothing but wondered if it was a fossilised limpet or such like. I live in rural south Cambridgeshire CB21 and this was found lying on the top of an arable field

I agree, in flint from the chalk eroded out and 80 - 85 million years old.
