Hi all,

I recently visited Wren's Nest and could do with some IDs, please. I'm a bit out of my depth with Silurian critters. All fossils are < 2cm in size. File names may be a bit misleading [wink] Click image for larger version - Name: CoralAndCrinoid.png, Views: 28, Size: 168.11 KB Click image for larger version - Name: shell1.png, Views: 31, Size: 96.81 KB Click image for larger version - Name: shell2.png, Views: 29, Size: 132.56 KB Click image for larger version - Name: shell3.png, Views: 30, Size: 149.41 KB Click image for larger version - Name: shell4.png, Views: 28, Size: 652.84 KB Click image for larger version - Name: sponge1.png, Views: 23, Size: 356.30 KB Click image for larger version - Name: sponge2.png, Views: 26, Size: 550.48 KB Click image for larger version - Name: SpongeCrinoid.png, Views: 31, Size: 117.42 KB Click image for larger version - Name: Tentaculites.png, Views: 35, Size: 143.72 KB Click image for larger version - Name: trilobite.png, Views: 36, Size: 479.85 KB Click image for larger version - Name: TwoSponges.png, Views: 31, Size: 971.39 KB

Thanks, Gandalf, that's really useful. I was way off the mark with the Favosites gothlandics!

Try and clean the trilobite head with a toothbtush and some water because they look pretty cool when cleaned. The first two are trilobite heads. Anyway whilst on the subject I wonder I anyone knows what these two other fossils from wrens nest are, they look like trilobites but I am not sure 🤔 Click image for larger version - Name: image.jpg, Views: 29, Size: 421.17 KB Click image for larger version - Name: image.jpg, Views: 26, Size: 433.14 KB Click image for larger version - Name: image.jpg, Views: 22, Size: 409.67 KB Click image for larger version - Name: image.jpg, Views: 22, Size: 474.17 KB Click image for larger version - Name: image.jpg, Views: 22, Size: 397.66 KB
